Google's map of Chernivtsi (it's actually produced by a company named
Transnavicom) has a number of errors. E.g., Hauptstrasse between
Ringpl. and Springbrunnenpl. is now Holovna, not Gagarina. Gagarina
coincides with Bahnhoof Str., i.e. it starts from Springbrunnenpl.
and goes North. Judengasse on the map is marked as Turetska, in
reality it's Sholem Aleichem Street. The real Turetska (Turken Gasse +
Turkenbrunnen Gasse) is not marked at all. Schiller, Lysenko, Gorky
and several other streets are also misplaced. Several people wrote to
Google and the map publisher in 2009 and got a form reply: "Thanks for
your feedback about our maps! We appreciate your help to identify
changes and keep our maps as fresh and accurate as possible". However,
aside from their appreciation nothing has happened.
