It's been over a year since I wrote to this group about my professional photo dating service. As a member of this group, I thought I'd let you all know about it again since there may be new members in the group. In addition to dating family photographs from fashion and other clues, I also date them from military uniforms. I have an extensive reference collection of uniform books from many countries in Europe including the Austro-Hungarian Empire, as well as American and British uniforms. In addition, I have a collection of WWI German newspapers and WWII Life Magazines that I consult. If you have a family portrait that needs dating based on a uniform, you can send me a scan (300dpi) minimum to sherlock.cohn_at_comcast.net. There is a minimum charge, but rest assured that I will work as long as it takes to get you the right answer.
