Dear all,
The maps are one of my favorite topics. As I previously mention on this
mailing list, I'm currently doing a PhD on semantic cartography
application, focused on the historical region of Bukowina (my hometown
is Câmpulung Moldovenesc; Kimpolung Moldawisch; Довгопілля Dovhopillja).
I'm in possession of some awesome maps of Czernowitz. Unfortunately, I
don't have yet the rights to disseminate this information. Until this
situation will change I would like to share with you some interesting
historical maps published by Polish Wojskowy Instytut Geograficzny:

[Moderator's note: Very large files - they will take several minutes each to download on a hi-speed internet connection. But well worth the wait! Moderator B.]
The Czernowitz town plans on http://czernowitz.ehpes.com are also
indexed here (<http://english.mapywig.org/viewpage.php?page_id=33>)

P.S. Dear Jerome, my correct name is "Vasile Crăciunescu" :)
