Siech= old, sick, and weak. I'm not sure about the "Siechenhaus" being
located in the Jewish Hospital. Anyway it wasn't when my father was interned
there in 1940. The inmates of the "Siechenhaus" were deported on the last
transport of 1942 and arrived to the stone quarry on the river Bug "Cariera
de Piatra" where we already were, and after a short period of time were
annihilated by the Romanian "Jandarms'.
