[Cz-L] Changes to the Website....

Czernowitzers...

Some time ago, I asked for suggestions to make the Website easier to
use. Most of the suggestions I received have been implemented, and I
think those that took the time to write. I'm still working on things.

The Menu on the home page: http://czernowitz.ehpes.com now has broad
groups of items and far fewer of them. For example:

1. All the Ehpes databases, FamilyFinder, Archives, AddressFinder,
Occupations, City Directories, Census', etc are now availble by clicking
on 'Ehpes Databases' from the Menu. You end up on a 'splash page' where
you can select what you're after. Nothing has been deleted.

2. The Archives is presented as a separate entity as it is so often used
by folks to read the current mail and research old posts. So there are
items that end up in more than one place.

3. All the photographs, pre and post war, are in the same place now:
Ehpes Photo Collection', so clicking on this item brings you to a menu
of all the collections with a short description of each. Same with the
Ehpes Postcard Collection, the Map Collection, and so on.

4. In 'From List Members', you will find all the items that List Members
have contributed: List Member's Pages; Biographies; Merle's Photographs
of list members; Help Identify; Stories, Histories & Documents;
cookbooks; and various databases to do with list members. Another
example of some items being available in more than one place. I keep
thinking there must be a better name for this section, so let me know
what you think.

5. Finally from the 'Projects' section, you can select items like the
Cemetery Projects, the Museum project, the Popovici project, the
Cookbook project, the Czernowitz Art Gallery, PowerPoint presentations
-- various endevours that list members have participated in, either in
groups or singularly are available here.

Some things stayed exactly where they were....

You might want to take a run through the new Menu to familliarize
yourself as to where things have ended up. Of course, if something seems
particularly out of place, or you can't find it (it might be missiing!),
we can discuss re-positioning it. There may be spelling/typo's mistakes
and other things that needs to be corrected, so let me know.

Yikes... I left out the 'Miscellaneous' section entirely -- more to do.
