Thank you Lydia,
the origin of "lucca" is so simple. My real name is actually "Rachel". When
I was still very small, my Polish grandfather used to call me "Ruchale".
This was a hard word for me to pronouce, so I said "luccale" instead. My
legal name still being Rachel, but generally known by everybody as Lucca,
this caused some confusion with authorities and postal matters until I
entered both names in all official documents.
I do have to tell this quite often when people ask why I am named after an
Italian city.
.
All the best, Lucca
