The Jewish population of Czernowitz was 70,000 before the war.
So they say. When was the latest census ?
Then came Hitler ,Stalin and Antonescu.
Today the count is zero. Of German- speaking Jews.
The interim numbers are not relevant.
There is also no way to certify them.
After the war Jews returned from Russia, Asia Minor, Transnistria,
others left legally and illegally to all possible places.
Jews from the small provincial hamlets settled in town ,people
went to Lwow and others crossed the Carpathian mountains.
The war wasn't over yet and Bandera gangs slaughtered Red army
personnel and Jews.
The interim numbers are not very important.
What is important , is the final balance.
Zero.
