  Houses were grey.
   Different shades of grey.
    Not pink or green or yellow.
      The sky was mostly grey .
       But we had sunny days with blue skies too.
      In sunshine , the grey houses looked nice.
       But we had colorful butterflies and birds .
        And our grass had a deep green color.
         And purple was the black eye of our neighbor
      after a violent argument with her husband after
      coming home late.
