I am using this opportunity to remind all, that if you have photographs
showing gravestones at the the Jewish cemetery in Czernowitz, on which the
name of the deceased is clearly legible and for which you know the location,
please send me a copy of the photograph and information about the location.
I am trying to build a database of photographs and location of graves for
the Czernowitz Jewish cemetery.

The information at JOBR is currently incomplete. Even though the number
of graves at the cemetery is about 50 000, JOBR has information only about
12549. Klara Fuhrmann's grave, visible on a photograph Simon has, is not
among the photographs available at JOBR if you search for Fuhrmann.

And since a number of list members plan to travel to Chernivtsi and look for
graves of ancestors and relatives, please remember that the Hebrew
inscription is on the east side of the stone, the German, or other language,
on the west side.
