Journal issue on the Holocaust in Bukowina and Transnistria

The new 2 (8) 2010 volume of the =93Holocaust and Modernity. Studies in =
Ukraine and the World=94 scholarly journal has been published.
This volume is a thematic issue containing the proceedings of the =
scholarly conference =ABThe fate of the Jews from Bukovina and =
Transnistria, 1940=9644=BB which took place on October 8, 2007 at the =
Yu. Fedkovich Chernivtsy National University with the support of the =
United States Holocaust Memorial Museum (Washington, DC, USA) and
the Elie Wiesel National Institute for the Study of the Holocaust in =
Romania (Bucharest, Romania).
Well-known experts on the history of Holocaust in Ukraine and Romania =
gathered in Chernivtsy to discuss the present-day state of research in =
the fields of the history of the Jewish community of Bukovina and the =
=ABFinal Solution of the Jewish Question=BB during World War II. This =
conference was a part of the series of academic events organized by the =
USHMM in the Republic of Moldova and the United States in 2005=962006 =
dedicated to the history of the Holocaust in Romania.=20
The texts in this volume are presented both in Ukrainian and English.
