I am speaking about The Hornsteins from the Verbindungsgasse, Maedy, Guido,
Lulu.Lulu was a very beautyful boy, in my age, Guido was a classmate and
friend of my husband Maedy was one year elder than Guido. In my teenage we
were neighbours and with Lulu in the dancing course at Ms.Boris on the
Petersplatz. Guido studied in Prague, became a physician, maried a girl from
Prague Hedy, and came back to Cz.in 1939.Her parents were deported and
murdered in Therezin.They remained in Cz.during the occupation.In 1944, the
sowjets organized a tschek batallion, came through Cz. and invited all
students, who studied in Tchechoslowakya, to fight against the Germans.
Guido and Hedy entered in uniforms in Prague, remained there until 1963, had
a son Misha.We were invited to them and spend 5 days in their very handsome
house, , Guido was prof.of dermathology at the Uni.Prague, they told us that
they will leave through Vienna to Germany.3 times I was from Roumania to
visit them.Guido died in the 90th. from an injection in a hospital, Misha
died at 50, he leaved 3 children. With Hedy I remained in telef.contact.Last
march was visioned a mouvie in Duesseldorf about her life,
Lulu left Cz.before the sovjets entered, to Bukarest, than to Vienna, was a
very good businessman, maried Bina,a Cz.girl, died in the 80th. 2 sons,so
you know about them...Mi husband went alone to London, through Duesseldorf,
and the Hornsteins gave a Cz.party, there was also Bina. I had some fotos.
Excuse the long bio, I am accustumed to write bios...
oh, your uncle Mandler, was his name Jushku, also from Cz?
