Interesting photographs of Czernowitz from a time most of us do not
remember.
Some photographs show part of the "Tempel", as it was.
The commentary should be taken with a grain of salt; The majority of
the inhabitants
of the city voted in 1918 against annexation to Romania, not as this
documentary
claims that they voted unanimously for it.
Much is made of the fact that Czernowitz had an trolley-bus, was it
installed
during Romanian times?
The Romanian National House was as yet not completed in 1939, when
this documentary was shot.
Does anyone know which is the building which in the documentary is
named Palatul National?
