My father had a cousin named Itziu Landmann. He and his wife Anutza lived in
Czernowitz. He was employed by the Seifert dry cleaning factory as an
accountant.
They had a single son called Nachum, generally known as Buki.
Now "uncle Itzu" as I used to call him and Tante Anutza were deported to
Transnistria and ultimately killed over the river Bug (is that how it was
spelled?)
Buki remained all alone at the age of nine or so, and until now I don't know
how he managed to proceed and arrive in Israel, where he grew up among
relatives. He served in the Israeli army and became a very capable TV
technician.
He is married, has two sons and lives with Trissy, his wife in Nahariya.
I am in touch with him, mostly by phone.
