Congratulations, Edgar!

The reproduction looks perfect.
Many, many thanks to our dear Gaby and Edy.

For Rose Auslander fans: please take a look at the report about the opening

Czernowitzers and art appreciaters...

I have the privilege to announce, that we've introduced two further
outstanding art works to the Czernowitz Art Gallery

http://czernowitzgallery.blogspot.com/

The FIRST one is the most impressive portrait of ROSE AUSLÄNDER, made by
Solomon Lerner in the year 1935. This painting is brought to you by courtesy
of the Heinrich Heine Institute in Düsseldorf and by special assistance of
our fellow members Gebriele and Eduard Weissmann. On the occasion of my
visit in Berlin in April, Gabriele and Eduard gave the decisive hint for
identifying this unique painting and prepared the ground for my
intervention. Thank you so much, Gabriele and Eduard!

The SECOND artist is Erwin Schäfler, who made the small drawing showing MR.
LANDMANN, AN INTELLECTUAL FROM CZERNOWITZ, 36 years old, died of hunger and
cold on the road Moghilev - Scazinetz, 04.01.1942. This drawing and
especially its background initiated an interesting thread and merits being
on display at the Czernowitz Art Gallery.

I'm extremely grateful for all positive and encouraging comments, which
really motivates for further exhibitions. The direct link to the comments is
right here:

Enjoy the impressing art works of "our" Czernowitzers!
