I agree - shorter is better - I also came up with a version some of whose
language may be useful to incorporate

their citizenship, civil rights, professional standing and property; Many
brutally murdered by German and Romanian troops and their collaborators.
Between 1941 and 1942, some 33,000 were deported to concentration camps in
Transnistria, of which 15,000 were murdered or died of hunger, exposure and
disease.
May they be remembered for all ETERNITY
