I just wanted to correct something in the HaAretz article.
Very rich Jews who were born and lived in Bucarest (Romani gen beget) real
Rumanians, were taken to a slaughter house and hung from meat hooks.
I (and David's parents) knew such two families in London Gross and Solavici
whose husbands died that way.
So, Rumanian "kindness" does not deserve mentioning.
