Sorry to hear the sad news. My mother's maiden name was Koffler. She was born in Roznov, Galicia to Joseph Koffler. Could Igo be related?

It is with great and profound sadness that I relay to you the news from
Edgar Hauster that our friend Dorin Fraenkel of Radautz passed away this
morning.  I'm deeply saddened by the news, and I'm sure many of you will
be, too. The funeral will likely take place on Friday, arranged for by Igo
Koffler, President of the Radauti Jewish Community.

Dorin was 66 years old. He was born in 1945, in a small village on the
Russian/Romanian border, as his parents returned from Transnistria. He
passed away this morning quite suddenly, though he had mentioned not
feeling well recently.

Some of us may know Dorin for the excellent genealogical research he
conducted for us in Radautz, Suceava, and in Czernowitz.  He had the
knowledge and connections to undertake this research, which he did with
great care and thoughtfulness.  Dorin was also a lover of music, a student
and teacher of piano music.

He'll be remembered fondly by his friends and family.

Bruce
