Thanks to the precise instructions of Edgar, I was able to get the names
of the people who lived on any particular street. But as mentioned before
by Berti, Edgar, Emil, the address book of 1936, the most recent one there
is, is not fully accurate and because of the disruptions of 1940 and 1941,
It does not necessarily reflect the addresses at which people lived
in 1943-45, which is the period I know best.

As mentioned by Edgar and others, the address books give only the names and
addresses of the heads of household. Sometimes giving the address of the
residence of a person and sometimes the location of their business or
office. As far as my family is concerned, the early address books, from
1898, 1909 and 1914, contain all the correct information, but the address
book of 1936, lists my maternal grandparents' address as their former
address, at which they had no longer lived since 1923 and does not list my
father as well as many families, I am sure already lived at certain
addresses at that time.

In addition, certain streets have numerous names and certain buildings,
seem to have numerous addresses. For instance: The street known to me as
Slowatckigasse was during the Romanian period named partially
Strada N. Filipescu and partially Strada Luta. In 1941 - 42, I lived for a
few month in a building, on that street. It is the second building on the
left as you come from the Siebenburger Strasse (str. Transilvaniei) and I
remember most of the names of the people who lived in that building.
Of the people who all lived in the same building, Leon Wolf and Ignati Rudel
are listed as living at str. Stefan cel Mare 42a, the Landman family is
listed as living at str. Nicolae Filipescu #6 and the Laufer family at
str. Lascar Lutia #6. The Rubinstein family is not listed at all.
One official document from that period belonging to my father lists him, as
living at str. Lutia #6 and the other at Stefan cel Mare 42a.

Just the same the address book have provided me with much useful and correct
information and I am very grateful to Edgar for making them available to us.
