Dear All,

We are straying from the subject.
I have been told by a reliable source that the current memorial
to the Czernowitz Ghetto, was put up on the initiative of Rabbi Kofmanski,
That the executive committee of the city council debated the issue
and decided that this memorial is temporary.

No one has asked for our opinion, either officially or unofficially.
It seems that most of us do not like this memorial, but some think
that it is better than nothing.

Think about how we may get more information. Those who read Ukrainian,
see whether it is mentioned in local newspapers and websites.
Once we know what is at issue, we will have a better idea about whether
we should intervene in any way.
