Anny
the first memory of my childhood is my aunt getting me out by my collar from
your mentioned "blotte".
She interfered with my having such a great time, I splashed and rolled
around and the way I looked must have frightened her to death. this was in
front of my grandfather's house, vis-a-vis the Jiddish theatre.
She carried me, kind of in the air, and dropped me right into the bath tub,
clothes and all. Such boundless cruelty!
