Dear All,
It seems to me that Mr. Hitzig intended to say "The hate is so huge that any
security will "not" help.
In view of my experience with the Romanians (especially in Bucharest) I am
not surprised at all that the exhibits at the Bucharest Metro "disappeared".
It was a bad idea in the first place.

If one is interested to get a better picture about the still existing
anti-Semitism, just go to see the posters at the entrance to the University
(just across the street from the Inter-Continental hotel).
Even during the Ceausescu period, the situation was not better, no matter
that it was legally not permitted under the Communist system.
So, let's not be naïve and let's not try to re-educate the Romanians, by
reminding them about the atrocities during the Holocaust period. Most of
them would even say that there was no Holocaust in Romanian. They will even
deny their behaviour during the Bucovina and Transnistria nightmare.

Abraham K.

Dear Cz list,
You must understand that many Romanians can't realize to have lost their
ally during WW2 (1941-1944).
The hate is so huge that eny security will help.
Better is to inform the EU authorities and media...
Emil Hitzig
