Dear Czernowitzers,
As someone who has worked and hopes to continue working in education
and cultural outreach (on Jewish history/heritage topics) in Romania,
I would like to note that while there will always be people who refuse
to learn, there are many more who are curious and even craving
information such as Emil and Shani provide in their exhibition. Let's
not forget that before a few people took down the exhibition, it was
viewed by thousands. My own experience has been that many Romanians
want to hear, see, learn more, not less - and this is why Emil and
Shani's work is important and should absolutely continue to be
presented in Romania. Future generations will not be different unless
this sort of work is carried out today.
With respect,
Julie
