I had classmate Chaskel Hitler (not H¨¹ttler) when I was at the "Safah
Ivriyah" Hebrew elementary school. I remember his family lived in the
Oberjuden Gasse or perhaps Synagogen Gasse. It was a poor family, I think
the father was a tailor. Could be that Chaskel Hitler (or H¨¹ttler) who
reportedly died in 1938 was one of his ancestors . I don't know anything
what happened to my former classmate after 1935. Most of my classmates are
not alive anymore, so I am unable to provide more information. He was not
in the Ghetto during 1941-1944, perhaps in Transnistria. Does anybody among
our List members know ?
Thansks,
Abraham K.

I received a message from Alex, which I think he meant to send to the list:
I am copying it below:
> Does anyone remember or know the story about Czernowitz ladie's tailor who
had
> the name Adolf Hitler who died in circa 1938, his macevah is on the
Czernowitz

This is what I answered Alex:
> Hello Alex,

> Therefore I will sent it on for you.

> Hittler Hersch died in 1887 and his grave is in area #35.
> H¨¹ttler Chaskel (Yechezkel) died in 1924 and his grave is in area #109.
> I did not find an Adolf Hitler or Adolf H¨¹ttler either in the burial
registers
