I think that the story as told by Alex Denysenko and which he was
told by someone
in Czernowitz, is just a story, facts ignored to make the story more
interesting.
I think it quite likely that Abraham Kogan's classmate, Chaskel
Hitler, was
the son of Samuel H¨ąttler mentioned in the 1936 address-book and
grandson
of Chaskel H¨ąttler. Abraham's classmate was probably named after his
grandfather,
who according to the burial registers, died in 1924 (not in 1938, as
claimed
by Alex Denysenko and Abraham Kogan). This would fit, because Abraham
and his classmate Chaskel, were born after 1924 and before 1938.
As to the difference between H¨ąttler and Hitler; since there is no
"Umlaut"
in Romanian, "H¨ąttler" would automatically become "Hitler".
