Re: [Cz-L] Bukowina Get Together Albums

I was very excited and happy to find someone I knew quite well myself on the first picture in this album - Ita and Marek SINGER. I am assuming Marianne contributed this one as her parents, Carl and Lotte, are in this picture as well? I must have either missed it the last time I looked or else it was added since then.

At some point during my "career" as a pupil at the German school in Bucharest, mym mother was worried about my performance in - of all things - German! so it was quickly arranged via my grandparents, Olga and Ernst TAMLER, that I would be privately taught and monitored by no other than Ita SINGER. I cannot say I was all too happy about it! :-) But Ita is one of the few friends of my grandparents I remember very well and I also liked a lot. Her daughter-in-law, Monica, was a math teacher at the German school before leaving Romania for Israel. I even met Ita after I arrived in Germany, sometime in the early 90s, she was here to visit friends in Düsseldorf. I will check with my mother for pictures and if I find any, send them on to the group.

Having said this, I would love to meet at least some of you Bukowiners out there in person soon!
