Shalom,
Background: My g-grandfather Yechiel-Michal (Mechel) JURGRAU passed away in
Radautz on the 8-Dec-1904. This date appears on his death record as well as
on his headstone. His address was as appears on the death record was
Voitinelului No. 715.
The Question: How come that the Radautz address book of 1909, as well as
that of 1914 (as posted by Edgar Hauster), still have an entry for Jurgrau
Mechel Woitinellergasse 715? Any explanation? Have you found such phenomena
regarding other people?
Note: The single grandson of him named Mechel JURGRAU living in those years
was my uncle, who was born in Arbore on 1906 and lived there until the 1920s
- when he made "Aliya" to Israel.
Yossi Yagur
