The Tempel certainly would fit into the category
of "Americans' Heritage abroad".
Being very busy with trying to restore the cemetery,
I did not ask the commission, about the Tempel.

It is still not too late to do so and I hope that an American member of
the list, will take it upon himself or herself to write to the
commission.
But I think that the clout of the commission should be used, only as
a means
of last resort. I think that there are already some efforts being
made locally,
in Chernivtsi, to have the Tempel returned to a more dignified and
proper usage.
Till we know more, let's not interfere."Too many cooks, spoil the
broth".
