Hi Abraham,
The Chief Rabby Dr.Mark was a close friend of my father in law,
Prof.Dr.Ephraim Brenner and his sons the friends of my husband, Dr.Mark
officiated also our wedding in march 1939.
They had 4 children. The eldest son, Erich, ingeneer, studied in Bukarest,
lived after the war in Israel, paid us a visite in Ploiesti with his wife,
Magolit
The second son, Fredy, in my age, studied in Prag, was surprised by the
german invasion and nobody knows how and where he perished.
The third child was Hertha, she married Dr.Hassner
(Not Gassner), she was younger than me..I don't know when and where she
died, there were roumors that she suicided.
The youngest son, Ilan, lived in Israel, I knew him in Czernowitz, but never
saw him here in Israel, we made very late the Allyia.
The brother of Dr.A.Mark , Dr.Menachem Mark,
was Chief Rabby in Ploiesti, after the war. We were friends with him and
his wife, Maud, a layer at the Rabbinath, and they had three sons, When we
lived immediatly after the war in Boldesti, a little settlement in the oil
fields, 14 km from Ploiesti, they paid us visits and the whole village
whispered" to ing Brenner is coming the Jewish Priest"...we were the only
jewish family in the village...In the photo-archive I found a street-picture
from Bukarest: my husband with Erich and Fredy Mark, after my return from
Berlin, I will sent it to Merle
Memories...
