Hi Hardy - I think that a certain degree of anti-semitism is embedded in
many languages - in the United States when you want to bargain with someone
over a price, you say "I don't want to Jew you down......but..." & a former
neighbor of mine came over to introduce herself and have tea - since we
didn't have all that much to talk about we complained about the landlord, &
then she said, "what do you expect, he's a Jew" which kind of ended the
conversation & I never invited her in to tea again...
