No doubt about, antisemitism could be one of the main reasons, on the other hand, who knows, if the "glorious community" is still so glorious as it was before, particularly before WW1? The lack of interest for the Jewish Community could be as well the result of restrictions to religious issues, not considering the spirit of the times and the current social and political problems. I don't know exactly, just a guess!
