I'm open to each and any evidence for bribes in this context, but it has to be more specific than general accusations. Therefore I targeted my question to Calotescu and Marinescu - not to Schellhorn (!) - as for both of them we do have incriminating records:

1. Calotescu had to resign in 1943 for dubious financial transactions with welfare funds.

2. "This man [Stere Marinescu] and his coworkers worked under the governor and took massive bribes both locally, from individual Jews, and from Jewish organizations in Bucharest, always promising not to organize future deportations and assuring the saftey of Jews remaining of Cernauti."
