[Cz-L] House numbers in Czernowitz

Recently, when looking for a particular family name
in the 1936 address book, I found that this family had lived
In 1936 on #5 Cronicarul Neculce.
I was born at #10 Cronicarul Neculce and during the war,
Lived at #3 of the same street. I am now curious to know whether
in Czernowitz the street numbers on the North- South streets went up
from the south to the north ore vice-versa.
I know that the even numbers were on the east side and the odd numbers were
on the west side.
