RE: [Cz-L] Very old Czernowitz.

Hi to all.

Two comments:

Mathildenhof, Liliengasse 17, was the house where I was born (July 1941) 11
weeks before deportation to Mogilev.

Almost every building on that side of the Liliengasse had a passage to
Rathhausstrasse. At the passage between the Liliengasse and Rathhausstrasse
number 10 there was the "Kino Savoy" and next to it my mother's
"Bonbonerie".

Facts that I was told about by my parents and relatives.

Hi Hardy, Thousand thanks for the photo, or is it a drawing???It is also "my
old Czernowitz", with passage from Liliengasse to Rathhausstrasse and in
these courtyards were shops, restaurants,sandlers, and many, many windows of
the 3=stores houses around...but not balconies....The same passages were
between Hauptstrasse and Postgasse, one was named "Dora=Hof", I don't
remember which one???
