Hi Hedwig,
My father is from Lvov. He and his family went to survived the war and
emigrated to Israel where I was born and shortly after that came to
America.
I've actually never met any other Gruber family other than my cousins
in Israel. Much more was lost about them. Altough when we went to CZ
in 2009 we stopped in Lvov (Lviv) and saw my father's house. We filled
out papers to get any info about the property that we could and
received the original architectural drawings from the Ukrainian
government 1 year later complete with my grandfather's notes.
We may be related but that story will have to be investigated.
