In addition I've checked for you the archives of the Czernowitz daily newspaper "Der Tag" and discovered an interesting and detailed article headed "Schreckenstag in Czernowitz" [Horror Day in Czernowitz], released on 20.04.1933 (Hitler's birthday).

The article is reporting on the first pogrom in Czernowitz, following Hitler's seizure of power in January 1933. At the corner Herrengasse/Ringplatz two Jews [Polesiuk, Picker] were trying to escape from the attackks of right-leaning hooligans. Picker fled into Bruckenthal's Bakery, haunted by about ten hooligans, who mistreated Bruckenthal's son, as well as the two salesgirls [!]. This sad story goes together with Hedwig's report.
