Hello,
I just joined this e-list, hoping to learn more about Czernowitz. My
father, Willy Neufeld, was born in Czernowitz in 1910. He emigrated to Peru
in 1927. Unfortunately he died when I was still a young child and all his
sibblings are also dead, so I don't have anybody to ask questions that might
lead me to understanding what life was like or to finding things about my
grandmother and other relatives.
My grandmother was Malka Bruckenthal and she had two brothers, Leo and David
Bruckenthal. Does anybody know anything about them? She died in Czernowitz
in 1929.
