Thanks, Jerome - I've never seen this one before. We'll need a statue for the film and having on a hat just wouldn't have worked. So he was entirely bald. Today many men with thinning hair shave their heads - it seems to be considered manly or something but in those days when a man was bald he was really bald. In a couple of his pictures he wears what I think we called a cravat, a forerunner to the tie and a cousin to the ascot or bowtie. I don't recall men wearing these in Cz. But I recall the knickerbokers. I had several pair and the Canadian kids stared at me when I wore them. Amazing how many changes we went through in one lifetime.
