Yes your data certainly rings bells for me.Thank you so much for alerting me to this. There were many Flinkers from Czernowitz.

Dr Jacob Flinker, the physician was my g.grandfather and cousin Robert a poet and psychiatrist my father knew well as well as the others you mentioned. Two other Flinker cousins, father Martin and son Karl b. Cz went to Paris after the war and ran the well known Flinker library and art gallery on the Isle de la cite. The bookshop after the war bravely became a gathering place for German writers, poets and academics including Paul Celan and Karl's gallery dealt in post Impressionism art. Their large collection of first editions of German literature and I suspect much from Cz and artworks were bequeathed to the national French archives originally in the Pompidou Centre, now moved to Caen Normandy. Martin was awarded the French legion d'honeur and the Jewish Museum in the Marais published their biography in 2002.
