hi, Stephen, Bernhard Reder was indeed a"matzevemaker" with his father, went
in the 29-th to prague and studied sculptor, .He returned for short time to
Czernowitz, went to Paris and left Europe just before WW 2. He became very
famous in USA,When we went for the first time, in the end of the 80th to NY,
our friends the Hacken"s showed us a sculptor, given by Reder.I think that
Mr.Schreiber from our list knew him...In the last 80th. were a big
exhibition in the Asia-house Tel-Aviv with his metal-sculptures.Moshe, are
you not related to him???

Subject: RE: [Cz-L] Does any one ( out of the 399 ) met or knew a Reder?
My father recalls a man named Reder who lived opposite his aunt (#4 Dr.
Reisgasse). He recalls that this man was a sculptor and had a business of
manufacturing monuments for the cemetery.
