RE: [Cz-L] Czernowitz Old Choir School

Hi Edgar...I have no argument re the shul,but the "Verein" was a Choral
Society,and a group of singers too most likely. It may well be that they
used this shul for the meeting just because it was the Choral Synagogue. We
have a very similar situation in London with the Jewish Male Voice Choir.

In my understanding this still was in fact the Choral Synagogue, referred to
by "Der Tag" as "Alte Chorschule" and by the Czernowitz Jewish Museum as
"Choral 'Beit-Ares' Synagogue", located on Mickiewiczgasse, a street name,
which never changed:
