I am curious to know whether this shirt is really hand embroidered.
In 2006, when visiting the house in Davideni/Davidivka in which my
grandfather
was born, the woman currently living in the house, showed me the
whole house.
Not very tactfully, I remarked that she no longer had embroidered
linens.
She answered that no one has time for embroidery in these modern times.
