RE: [Cz-L] Finding family info before 1860

Dear Ken,

I think we may have exchanged messages before, but I don't remember. My
family name used to be Budabin, and my mother's side were Kulas. My mother
had an Aunt MARTHA RUBEL, born of BERTHA LEHR (our family line) and JACOB
RUBEL. BERTHA and JACOB would date around 1870-90. I have no other
information other than Martha and her husband (and first cousin Alfred
Goldberg (later Gordey) immigrated to Australia after the war.

I have no idea whether this is of any interest to you. Please let me know.

I've been through the records captured by the Mormons regarding Cz but they
only go back to 1860. I have traced my Rubel lineage to my Great-great
grandparents Chaim Mordeche Rubel and Rachel Kinsbrunner Rubel as far as
finding their marriage record in the 1880's, long after their 12 children
were born. In fact, that record lists them all with their birth dates
ranging from 1851-1878. In the process I made contact with the Liquornik
family and they have an Aron Rubel, whom we believe to be Chaim's brother.
Their tree lists the same father for Chaim that we have (from his marriage
record, so we are pretty sure we are right), Hensel Rubel AND his
grandfather Abraham Rubel. There are no dates and no further information.
Does anyone have any suggestions on finding any records to continue my
search? I am stumped!

Incidentally, we found out that Chaim had 12 children and we have traced
eight of those children's lines to present! We have Rubel cousins all over
the world!
