[Cz-L] Fate of Jewish refugees from Poland who came to Czernowitz and has visas to go to Chile

This is in response to an Email from Ruth Gold, questioning the
history of Pearl Taub.
In 1941 many refugees from Poland came to Czernowitz, among them a
number
of Jewish refugees who had visas to go to Chile. Instead of letting
them continue
on their way to Constanta, they were sent to Transnistria and eventually
to concentration camps in areas occupied by Germany.
