So if these Jews were deported to Transnistria how did they end up in
Auschwitz? Also, to my knowledge, there was no such camp like Khrenovka in
Transnitria. Forgive me if I am wrong.

This is in response to an Email from Ruth Gold, questioning the history of Pearl
Taub.
In 1941 many refugees from Poland came to Czernowitz, among them a number
of Jewish refugees who had visas to go to Chile. Instead of letting them
continue
on their way to Constanta, they were sent to Transnistria and eventually
to concentration camps in areas occupied by Germany.
