Dear All,

I can't begin to tell you have pleased and touched I am to have had so
many messages of congratulation, so many mazeltovs, from so many
members of our Czernowitz list. Wherever my late father is, he is
sure to be schepping huge nachas. Luckily, my mother lived long
enough to see me receive my OBE.

Thank you again; you are all very kind and a credit to the menschlich
spirit of Czernowitz.

Best regards
Mike

Mike Fuhr

PS I too always make a beeline for the scherzl. And I was taught to
place a glaisl wasser on the window-sill during a thunderstorm. Does
that make me a true son of Czernowitz?
