Dear friends,

After a very successful conference in Paris, I'm very happy to announce a
milestone in the "Czernowitz BMD Records Index" transcription project.

We have reached 20.000 lines on the database, now searchable via
http://czernowitz.ehpes.com/ by selecting "Databases" from the left menu.

The project covers birth, marriages and death in Czernowitz between the
years 1877 and 1929.

We are currently working on the birth section and I can only guess this is
almost half of the total births listed.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the volunteers involved
in this project and invite others to join.

Best regards
Daniel Horowitz
