[Cz-L] New to the List

Nope, I am pretty sure it was ESCHENASY.

None of these first names are my grand-father's, he was named 'Albert'.

Welcome to the Czernowitz List. It is probable that your family's name in
Czernowitz was Aschkenazy.
On our website http://czernowitz.ehpes.com/ there is a chapter called
databases.
In this chapter are included address and business directories from different
periods.
In the Address book of 1936, there are 4 families named Aschkenazi.
The first name of the various heads of family are:
Hers, Menasche, Moses Leib and Siegmund.
