Too bad the head is lost. Or maybe it is just as well.
Maybe it did not match the body and the drape of the cloth.

It must be because of this statue, that Czernowitzers had
their own version of "fesche Frauen" (attractive women).
While "Fesch" means "attractive /stylish", In Czernowitz,
the word had a more specific meaning.
About thin and tall modern women they said in Yiddish:
"Dar in hoyech in shtinkt fin Royech"
(thin and tall and stinks of smoke).

In case anyone is offended by this description of modern women,
they also said about women who were less modern or progressive:
"Still Dumm und gefraesig" (quiet, stupid and a glutton).
