Re: [Cz-L] Henry Barbusse street .

Dear Hardy,
in my land, Henri Barbusse is known as a pacifist who wrote the first book
againt war 'Le feu" (The fire) about the IWW, Goncourt prize in 1916.
He was poet and novelist, friend with Romain Rolland and Albert Camus.
He visited USSR and write a book about Stalin, but he died in Moscow,
probably murdered by Stalin's police...
A "french bolshevik writer " ??
As many people, as many jewish people, as the Bund, he was fascinating by
the communism ideas.
