I think you are referring to the pictures on this web page:

No 7, the building where my mother lived from 1929, was on the corner of
Ambrosgasse. I believe that the building had just been built in 1929, that
date is shown in the stone floor. Before that there were trees on the site,
which you can see in the second picture on the left, behind the
Gendarmeriekaserne (Siebenbürgerstrasse 9). So No 5, where your father and
his family lived, must have been the building next to these trees, coloured
blue in these pictures. The pink house would seem to be number 1 rather
than number 5. If your father really lived in the two-storey pink building,
and it was really numober 5, then there is something strange about the
numbering here.
